Grace is not the delay.
Grace is what makes the delay meaningful.
A prisoner may receive a delayed sentence, but if he spends that time growing, reconciling, or changing, the grace was not the extra days—it was the opportunity inside those days.
In that sense, delay is merely time added. Grace is purpose added.
Or put another way:
Delay says, “You have more time.”
Grace says, “Use this time well.”
When we ask God for tomorrow, we may think we’re asking for delay. But perhaps God hears us asking for another chance—to forgive, to learn, to love, to become.
